I am currently owned by 2 border collies, a border collie cross and an orange tabby cat! They, and the many other animal souls who have shared my life, paved the path for a lifelong interest in understanding and relating to dogs. I have personally lived and worked with dogs who suffered from severe separation anxiety, multi dog household challenges, dog-dog reactivity, people reactivity, extreme sound sensitivity, fear issues, potty training challenges, and much more. I have also had the pleasure of participating in hoopers, trick training, disc dog and canine freestyle, herding, dog agility, scent work, tracking, and even drafting. For over 5 years my border collies had their dream job, gently sending off Canada Geese from City Parks in Nanaimo, BC Canada. In my “other work life” I have been a video, television and film writer/producer starting in 1988, working at TV stations and freelancing.
